so i'm back to the velvet underground...
I have the candles lit and shimmering by the window. I have the scent of incense filling the room. Ooh,and just at this moment my nose caught the scent of my Chantilly Lace talcum powder. I can't seem to find words right now to do so. Shooting blanks here. Plus...
I've been sick :( can't seem to shake it, and then theres me helping one teen with his science fair project and studying with the other for her midterms. I am also waiting to hear about my promotion which I know is a slam dunk,although I don't like my line of work ,I will stay just to secure the title, it will look good on my resume. ooh and I have been lurking around a couple of forums loving how many very cool people are out there,and how they make me think more and more of how we should all stay young at heart ...

you give me somethin' i can feeeel...
hello hello,
Here I am. Starting the new year off with flu /throat infection. No rest for the weary as I have children to feed and bills to pay. It is very ok because the way I look at this lil annoyance; I start 2005 with illness so the rest of the year I can fully live. Besides, I have a laptop and a digital camera to shop for so this down time is a good time to comparison shop.
Speaking of shopping for a few things; I also have been contemplating consulting a spiritualist for some guidance for the new year. Not for the "hocus pocus" "You're meant to be a writer, go out and buy some paper and pens", type of guidance. But moreso help with grounding and quieting myself.
I have been down the road of telephoning the well known psychic lines where there are a handful of psychics who truely care for the callers, but for the most part most are dishonest and are enablers and their relationship with their clients is that of co-dependency.
They create a dependancy on those who seek their counsel and at the same time are dependant on the purse strings of those whom hold them in such an intimate place; their personal lives.
Then there are the chatroom psychics whom I can say, as I know many and know most of them to be truely caring, they do mean well. Although from experience, of those that I know in those chatrooms only few are truely gifted. And I mean gifted in 2 ways,
1: having repeat clients for the right reasons
2: sustaining someones reach for understanding without promises of a special tomorrow
You can bet the farm those same people who are in one chatroom getting a reading today will be in another chatroom getting one tomorrow. I have been guilty of this and we learn by experience and is why I am able to speak of it without reservation.
This experience has evoked some personal truths for myself and some profound revelations about the path I have been on.
What to do with what I am and how to use my gifts.
I know this to be true for myself, I feel having repeat clients for the wrong reasons means I don't wish for someone to come to me for frivolous means and to keep them coming back in an endless storm of questions about themselves and their future. That is wrong.
If your ok with yourself today, if your ok with the events of today and have that balance of undertsanding the events of today tomorrow will be known and won't be such a burden before it even gets here.
If you come to me, come to me about yesterday or today. The anxiety of tomorrow will be that of a memory. You then can truely be ok dealing with the abundance today has to offer.
So now my shopping begins, I have to return to myself. Get grounded. I have no choice but to afford myself at least that luxury. My future and possibly yours depends on it.
